What This Tool Does

The Dantian Resonance Planner is an interactive wiki tool that mirrors the in-game Dantian puzzle grid from Destiny of Immortal (造化仙缘). Instead of trial-and-error rearrangement inside your save file, you can drag technique pieces into a virtual grid, see which adjacency bonuses fire, and compare layouts side by side before opening the character panel in-game.

Combat in EA pulls exclusively from whatever sits in your Dantian at rest — there is no mid-fight respec. This planner exists because a single misplaced tile can break a Generating chain or accidentally trigger an Overcoming penalty on your primary burst spell. Use it whenever you loot a new gongfa, swap elements, or prepare for a boss like Liu Bohu.

How to Use the Planner

1. Select your current realm grid size. Qi Refining grids are smaller than post-Foundation layouts. Pick the tier that matches your save so empty slots reflect real constraints.
2. Add techniques from the library panel. Each entry shows element, shape footprint, and tier. Search by Chinese name or English community label (e.g., Hidden Spirit Art / 隐灵诀).
3. Drag pieces onto the grid. Rotations match in-game orientation rules. Invalid overlaps are blocked; valid placements snap to cells.
4. Read the resonance overlay. Green highlights indicate Generating (相生) links, blue for Merging (相融), and amber for Overcoming (相克). Hover a link for the bonus type and magnitude estimate.
5. Check the action-bar preview. The bottom panel lists which spells populate combat slots based on current placement — same order as the in-game action bar.
6. Export or bookmark. Save a shareable URL encoding your layout so you can revisit after farming new techniques or ask for build feedback in community threads.

Resonance Rules Recap

Adjacent puzzle pieces interact through three Five Element cycles. The planner visualizes all three simultaneously so you can optimize without memorizing every pairing.

Generating (相生 — Xiāng Shēng)

Wood → Fire → Earth → Metal → Water → Wood. Generating links favor sustain, combo setup, and resource loops. Chain them across the grid rather than isolating one element blob.

Merging (相融 — Xiāng Róng)

Same-element or compatible subtype adjacency stacks raw stats — critical for mono-Metal burst or Water speed builds. Our Build Tier List assumes Merging chains on core damage tiles.

Overcoming (相克 — Xiāng Kè)

Metal cuts Wood, Wood drains Earth, Earth absorbs Water, Water extinguishes Fire, Fire melts Metal. Overcoming adjacency adds offensive pressure but can penalize misplaced pairs. Sandwich Overcoming tiles between Generating buffers when experimenting.

Recommended Workflow

Follow the EA meta skeleton from our build guides: one 4-point cultivation technique plus two 3-point combat spells, arranged for element-appropriate resonance. Metal prioritizes spell-attack Merging; Water stacks Speed tiles beside multi-hit skills; Earth links shield generators; Fire connects AoE footprints; Wood chains recovery bonuses.

After planning here, open the in-game Dantian panel (character UI → drag with mouse) and replicate the layout. Press F8 to save before your next boss attempt. If a new technique does not fit, return to this tool instead of wiping hours of progress through combat losses.

Limitations

The planner reflects Early Access data as of July 2026. Balance patches may change technique shapes or resonance values — check patch notes after major updates. Some stolen or event-exclusive techniques require story flags the library marks as locked until you confirm acquisition in-game.
