Why LeiYun Opened a Test Branch

On July 17, 2026, LeiYun Games added an official Steam beta channel for Destiny of Immortal (造化仙缘). The test line validates fixes and QoL features before promotion to stable EA. As of July 23, 2026, the latest test build is 0.13.23-test — inventory search, One-Click Learn, and batch trade. Stable EA on the default branch runs 0.13.22 (merged test content from 0.13.20/0.13.21 on July 21).

Community testers help catch regressions — especially save corruption, UI freezes, and secret realm softlocks. This guide walks through safe opt-in, save protection, and returning to stable without losing progress.

Before You Switch — Mandatory Backup

Test and stable builds share the same save folder. Test builds may introduce instability. Complete these steps first:

1. Copy the entire folder at %USERPROFILE%/AppData/LocalLow/XiaMenLeiYun/Zaohua to external storage
2. In Steam → Destiny of Immortal → Properties → General, disable Steam Cloud temporarily
3. Note your current stable version (0.13.22 as of July 23) so you know what to revert to
4. Finish or checkpoint any dungeon run — test branch may behave differently in secret realms

Enabling the Test Branch

1. Open Steam Library
2. Right-click Destiny of Immortal / 造化仙缘
3. Select Properties
4. Click Betas in the left panel
5. From the dropdown, choose test - 优先测试版
6. Close Properties — Steam downloads the test build automatically
7. Confirm the library name shows 造化仙缘 [test]

Returning to Stable

1. Back up your save folder again (test session may have modified files)
2. Steam Library → Properties → Betas → select None / 默认公开版本
3. Wait for Steam to download the stable build (0.13.22)
4. Re-enable Steam Cloud only after confirming save integrity

If stats, luck, HP, or spirit stones display incorrectly after switching branches, restore from your pre-test backup. Patch 0.13.16 fixed cache display bugs but cross-branch corruption may still occur.

• Do not test on your only save — use a copy or a secondary character slot
