Artifact Crafting (LianQi)

Current EA Status: In Development

Artifact crafting (Liàn Qì, 炼器) — forging magical weapons, armor, and cultivation artifacts from raw materials — is listed on the Steam Early Access FAQ as present but still under active tuning. LeiYun Games describes alchemy (Liàn Dān, 炼丹) as feature-complete for the Luocha Island arc, while artifact crafting continues receiving balance passes during the 12–18 month EA period.

Do not expect a fully polished forging loop comparable to alchemy at launch. Equipment acquisition during EA primarily flows through loot drops, merchant purchases, theft, soul search, and quest rewards — see Equipment Guide.

What LianQi Covers (When Complete)

In xianxia RPG tradition, artifact crafting transforms ore veins, demon beast materials, and rare reagents into equippable gear with cultivation bonuses. Based on developer statements and in-game UI placeholders:

• Weapon forging: Swords, spears, and talisman tools with element affinity and realm requirements
• Armor crafting: Robes, shields, and accessories complementing Dantian builds
• Creation Artifact enhancement: Potential synergy with Shiling Pearl and Shennong Cauldron treasure abilities
• Material pipeline: Ore from Shennong Cauldron cave heaven deposits, demon lair drops, and secret realm chests

Shennong Cauldron users who deposit mineral veins in their personal cave heaven may see stronger LianQi synergy when crafting matures — see Treasures of Creation.

What to Do Until LianQi Matures

• Farm equipment from loot: Secret realms, demon lairs, and boss drops supply Juntian set pieces and burst weapons
• Steal or buy: Shiling Pearl soul search and merchant purchases fill gear gaps
• Stockpile materials: Save ore and beast parts from exploration — likely LianQi inputs when forging stabilizes
• Watch Dev Logs: LeiYun plans weekly Steam Community updates during EA — crafting balance changes will appear there first

When artifact crafting receives a major EA update, this page will be expanded with verified recipes and forge locations. For now, treat LianQi as a preview system rather than a primary progression path.
