What Is the Luocha Island Arc?

The Luocha Island storyline (罗刹岛, also called the Rakshasa Isle Demon Cultivator route) is the sole fully playable narrative arc in Destiny of Immortal Early Access. Developer LeiYun Games and publisher 2P Games confirmed that EA ships one complete storyline of three planned major diverging paths, and Luocha Island is that path. The arc contains approximately 500,000 words of narrative content — roughly 25–30 hours for a first playthrough — spanning Qi Refining (炼气) through Soul Transformation (化神).

You begin as a low-rank cultivator with a five-element mixed spiritual root (杂灵根), an ordinary background, and a mother to protect. A Treasure of Creation — either the Shiling Pearl (噬灵珠) or Shennong Cauldron (神农鼎) — falls into your hands, and your cultivation journey begins in Xianyuan City (仙缘城) on the path toward Luocha Island's demon cultivation underworld.

Story Themes & Tone

Luocha Island is a power-fantasy cultivation narrative without forced reconciliation or punishment for aggressive choices. The Steam page promises no suffering-protagonist arcs and no NTR — instead, you experience underdog victories, hidden strength reveals, demonic sect power plays, and army-commanding set pieces. You can be a righteous cultivator, a pragmatic survivor, or a ruthless demon lord; the story adapts to your moral choices without lecturing.

Key dramatic beats advertised in EA include: facing Soul Transformation cultivators as a low-realm outsider and escaping unscathed; being captured as a blood slave and seizing control of a demonic sect; commanding 800 disciples against a 50,000-strong immortal alliance army. These are not marketing exaggerations — they are actual storyline branches within the Luocha Island arc.

Route Structure

The walkthrough divides into four progression chapters plus an endings guide:

• Chapter 1: Qi Refining — Xianyuan City, Liangyin Cave, initial cultivation, Chaos Pearl activation
• Chapter 2: Foundation Establishment — Yunhai Town, Shanyin Pass, Heavenly Foundation prep, route split warning
• Chapter 3: Core Formation — Liuyun City, secret realms, mid-game power spikes toward Core Formation (金丹)
• Endings Guide — multiple conclusions to the Rakshasa Isle Demon Cultivator route

Major Route Split: Shanyin vs Wuyin Sea

The most consequential early decision occurs during the Foundation period when you choose your escape direction:

• North to Shanyin County (山阴郡) — mainland route through Shanyin Pass, Liuyun City, and the Liuyun Secret Realm. Dao Foundation Fruit (道基果) obtained by defeating Liu Zhaoguang and Wang Yining in the secret realm. Recommended for Heavenly Foundation (天道筑基) planners.
• South to Wuyin Sea (无垠海) — overseas route to Blood Luo City (血罗城). Dao Foundation Fruit purchasable from Wang Zhiyu in the ghost market. Different NPCs, quests, and story flavor.

Core Systems Across the Arc

Throughout Luocha Island, you engage with all EA core systems:

• Dantian puzzle-piece combat — arrange cultivation techniques and spells for resonance bonuses in turn-based action-bar fights
• Treasure of Creation abilities — soul search/steal (Shiling Pearl) or alchemy/farming (Shennong Cauldron), activated with spirit stones
• Cultivation breakthroughs — Qi Refining → Foundation (筑基) → Core Formation (金丹) → Nascent Soul (元婴) → Soul Transformation (化神)
• NPC relations — gift, learn from, request, fight, steal from, and romance various cultivators
• Reincarnation Shop — post-completion achievements unlock Creation Points for future playthrough bonuses

Heavenly Foundation: The EA Prestige Goal

The highest-quality Foundation breakthrough — Heavenly Foundation (天道筑基) — requires nine Foundation Pills (筑基丹), one Dao Foundation Fruit (道基果), a Foundation secret manual (筑基秘法 / Introductory Qi Foundation Art), and age under 21. Your protagonist starts at age 14, giving a seven-year window. Heavenly Foundation grants stat bonuses far exceeding Human Path, Blood Path, or Earth Path alternatives. Language & Accessibility

EA does not include English localization. The interface supports Simplified and Traditional Chinese only. English is planned for full release. What Comes After EA?

LeiYun Games plans two additional major storylines beyond Luocha Island for full release, targeting more than triple the current content volume. EA feedback shapes combat balance, alchemy, artifact crafting, and economy systems before those arcs launch.
