Steam Trading Cards Guide

Introduction

Destiny of Immortal officially launched Steam Community Items with Patch 0.13.30 (August 21, 2026). Playing earns trading cards, badge-unlocked emoticons, profile backgrounds, and craftable booster packs. This guide covers everything you need to complete the set, craft badges, and trade on the Steam market.

Set Contents

• 8 base cards: Su Muxue, Li Wanqing, Demon Li Chengfeng, and five more characters.
• 8 foil cards: Rare foil variant of each base card (drop rate ~1:50).
• 6 emoticons: Unlocked by crafting badges with card gems.
• 4 profile backgrounds: Luocha Island, Shennong Kettle, Portal Array, and Heaven's Gate endgame vista.
• Booster packs: Three-card packs craftable from card gems.

Step 1: Earning Cards

Cards drop randomly during play, based on Steam time, not save data. Expected average: ~1 card every 25–35 minutes of gameplay.

1. Launch Destiny of Immortal through Steam (not the standalone launcher).
2. Play normally — main quests, portal combat, Shennong Kettle or Heaven's Gate endgame content.
3. Steam shows a drop notification when a card drops.
4. Find the card in your Steam inventory (Community → Inventory → Destiny of Immortal).

Step 2: Understanding Foil Cards

Foil cards have an animated holographic look and are ~50× rarer than base cards. They are worth 5–20× more on the market. Foils drop independently of base card progress, so you can get a foil before the base card.

Step 3: Crafting Badges and Unlocking Emoticons

1. Steam Profile → Badges → Destiny of Immortal.
2. You will see your Destiny of Immortal badge with a progress bar and reward tiers.
3. When you have enough cards, click Craft Gems to generate duplicate gems for booster packs.
4. Crafting a complete set unlocks emoticons and profile backgrounds as profile items.

Step 4: Crafting and Opening Booster Packs

Booster packs are crafted from card gems. To open one:

1. Steam Inventory → Destiny of Immortal → Booster Pack.
2. Click to view the card selection animation.
3. You receive 3 random cards from the set.

Booster packs are tradeable and marketable, so you can sell them instead of opening them.

Step 5: Trading on the Steam Market

Destiny of Immortal cards are officially marketable on the Steam market. To list a card:

1. Steam Inventory → select a card → List on Market.
2. Enter a price (a suggested price appears as of Patch 0.13.31).
3. Buyers find you through Steam market search.

Tip: Foil cards sell more reliably than base cards. Booster packs sell well at season launches.

Efficient Collection Tips

• Daily portal combats offer the fastest card drop per minute.
• Save booster packs until the set is nearly complete — packs overlap with your progress if you have many duplicates.
• Check market prices before opening booster packs — they often sell for more than the 3 cards inside.
• Don't grind the game — drops are time-based; AFK does not earn cards.

Do I need a Steam license? Yes — Steam Community Items are bound to your Steam account.

Are there seasonal cards? Not at launch (Patch 0.13.30). LeiYun has teased seasonal sets for future content.

Are cards shared across saves? Yes — drops count per Steam account, not per save slot.
