Treasures of Creation Overview

At character creation in Destiny of Immortal, you receive one of two Treasures of Creation (造化至宝) that permanently defines your playstyle for the entire Luocha Island arc. The Steam store page promises each treasure enables "a completely different start, shaping how you cultivate and how your power grows." Early Access offers the Shiling Pearl (噬灵珠) and Shennong Cauldron (神农鼎) — both activated with spirit stones and both supporting the complete EA storyline from Qi Refining through Soul Transformation.

Treasure choice is irreversible per playthrough. Additional artifacts are planned for future storylines (press materials reference Hongmeng Pearl and creation axes), but Luocha Island EA locks you into pearl or cauldron at start. This guide details each artifact's abilities, upgrade paths, and synergy with the Chaos Space (混沌空间) storage system activated after your first kill.

Shiling Pearl (噬灵珠)

The Shiling Pearl — also called Chaos Pearl or Hunyuan Pearl (混元珠) in earlier builds — is the predatory treasure. It embodies the demon-cultivation fantasy: take what others have rather than earn it through sect favor and decades of study.

Core Abilities

• Soul Search (搜魂): After defeating eligible NPCs or bosses, extract their gongfa and spells directly into your technique collection. Feeds the Dantian pool faster than lawful learning. Liu Bohu soul search yields Golden Spirit Swift Sky Art.
• Divine Thief / Skill Theft (妙手空空 / 神偷): Steal equipment, pills, and treasures from NPCs — sometimes without lethal combat when stealth builds align. Divine Thief talent at Chaos Pearl activation accelerates armor theft.
• Spirit Devouring Cultivation: Convert slain beings into cultivatable energy, accelerating realm progression through sustained combat farming.

Spirit Stone Costs

Every pearl activation consumes spirit stones. Budget stones for soul search before boss attempts, theft operations, and spirit devouring sessions. Misallocating stones early delays technique acquisition that Chapter 3 gear checks assume you possess.

Risks

Shennong Cauldron (神农鼎)

The Shennong Cauldron offers the infrastructure treasure path: slower explosive theft, stronger long-term resource production. Activating the cauldron opens a portable pocket realm with cultivatable spirit fields and mineral veins.

Core Abilities

• Spirit field farming: Plant rare seeds gathered across Luocha Island. Herbs regenerate over in-game months.
• Mineral veins: Ore deposits replenish crafting materials for pills and future artifact crafting.
• Harvest acceleration: Spend spirit stones to speed crop and ore cycles instead of waiting full in-game months.
• Alchemy synergy: Diverse herb supply enables pill recipe rotation that manages shared resistance better than loot-only stockpiles.

Who Should Choose Cauldron

Trade-offs

Cauldron users lack early Xuan-grade technique access via theft. Dantian power spikes arrive later unless you invest in NPC learning and Deacon Hall quest farming. Secret realm exploration remains mandatory for manuals the cauldron cannot generate.

Chaos Space (混沌空间)

Separate from the startup treasure choice, Chaos Space activates after your first enemy kill — a storage dimension tied to your artifact's power. At activation you also select your spiritual root element and talent picks that persist for the playthrough.

Mandatory Talent: Chaos Space

Chaos Space storage is non-negotiable among talent selections. It stores:

• Your mother (place her inside before dangerous events like Liu Zhaoyao encounters)
• Excess loot beyond inventory capacity
• Rescued NPCs awaiting deployment
• Quest items and rare materials safe from story-triggered inventory wipes

Chaos Space Upgrades

Storage capacity expands through artifact progression and realm milestones. Early Access upgrades arrive at:

• Qi Refining milestones: Base storage sufficient for Chapter 1 loot
• Foundation breakthrough: Expanded capacity for Heavenly material stockpiles (nine pills, fruit, manual)
• Golden Core and beyond: Further expansions accommodating late-game resource volume
• Spirit stone investment: Some upgrades require stone expenditure alongside realm gates

Treat Chaos Space as your bank vault. Before risky story events, transfer valuable pills, equipment, and your mother into storage. F8 save before events that might trigger inventory changes or NPC hostility.

Recommended Talent Picks at Activation

Beyond mandatory Chaos Space, community consensus talent priorities:

• Divine Thief (神偷) or Soul Search (搜魂): Earth builds prefer Divine Thief for armor theft; Metal builds benefit from Soul Search for Xuan techniques
• Treasure Identification (识宝): Recommended over Divine Strength for finding valuable loot
• Ore Seeking (寻矿) or Spirit Seeking (觅灵): Mining vs herb gathering preference

Talent choice interacts with your startup treasure. Pearl users double down on Soul Search or Divine Thief. Cauldron users may prefer Spirit Seeking for herb supply chain synergy.

Artifact Progression Across the Arc

Both treasures unlock new ability tabs at realm milestones — watch breakthrough notifications after Foundation and Golden Core for new UI buttons. Post-Foundation realm suppression lets higher-realm cultivators eliminate Qi Refining enemies with minimal combat, and both artifacts leverage this spike differently: pearl through farming weak cultivators for technique diversity, cauldron through pill-enhanced stat parity.

Future EA updates may add artifact crafting (LianQi) interactions with both treasures. Current EA treats alchemy as complete and artifact crafting as in development per the Steam FAQ.
